Return to Campus

Back to Tools and Resources

General Guidelines

  • Capacity Limits: Specific capacity limits for office spaces have not been designated under the Ontario COVID-19 response framework.  The size of an area does not necessarily determine appropriate occupancy.  All occupants must be able to maintain 2m physical distancing while working.
  • Physical Distancing:  Occupants working in an open space (i.e. without physical barriers for separation) must be able to maintain 2m of physical distance from each other.  In general, if people can extend their arms and not touch one another, this is a rough gauge of 2 m.
  • Space Reconfiguration: Staff logistics/cohorting must be prioritized over physical changes in the workspace. Keep in mind the maximum occupancy in all campus elevators is 1 person
  • Limited funds will be allocated for plexiglass or office reconfigurations.

If further assistance is required after completing the Return to Campus Checklist, email the Physical Resources Work Order Desk (wo@pr.uoguelph.ca) and include the following:

  • A copy of the completed checklist
  • Specific details of the of assistance requested
  • Relevant photographs of your space

Note: Please be patient as a higher than normal volume of requests may be received by Physical Resources during the return to campus period.
